History
The Groucho Club opened on 5 May 1985 in Soho as a club for the publishing, media, entertainment and arts industries, taking its name from a Groucho Marx quip about not wanting to belong to any club that would accept him as a member. After several changes of ownership, it was acquired in 2022 by Manuela and Iwan Wirth's Artfarm for a reported £40 million.
