History

Boodle's originated from William Almack's establishment on Pall Mall in January 1762 and took its name from Edward Boodle, who managed it after a 1764 split that also produced Brooks's. In 1782 the club moved to the Savoir Vivre clubhouse at 28 St James's Street, designed by John Crunden in 1775, where it remains. It is a men-only gentlemen's club.
